Theme of a WordPress is essential part of any blog or portal. Even if we talk about our mobiles, PCs, or Laptop, we choose a perfect themes for our choice. Their are a lot of good themes either free or paid available for WordPress. These themes are well coded and optimized for SEO and blah.. blah.., so why should we buy a theme if their is already a free theme available. Here are some reasons..
Reason #1: Support
We all know that free themes does not comes with a support. Their may be forum or something like that to support. But most of them fails to respond in right time. It is also not possible for any developer to support or answer each question in a forum.
Reason #2: Updates
Most of theme developer of WordPress are freelancer who contributes several hours to design a theme. They may be passionate about coding but a time comes when they move to some other projects and left their themes and plugins untouched. After some time the development of WordPress reaches to next level. In the updated or upgraded version a lot of bugs fixed and a few feature also introduced to WordPress.
But, what will happen if your theme developer disappears from web or switch to some other project and do not release the updates for the theme. You may lose the benefits of the development of the WordPress core feature and each upgraded version causes some incompatibility of features or plugins and some times themes. It may harm security of your blog.
Reason #3: SEO
SEO is another important factor, No developer like to keep this section down and claims to be best SEO optimized. It is also true that their are a lot of free themes available which is also good in SEO. But if it comes to Paid theme, developer die to optimize SEO, since they got money for the themes and in most case they are full time theme developer so they do not wish to leave their theme without implementing best SEO or good support.
Reason #4: Reliability
Well, I do not mean for theme reliability (However it may be also a point), since most of things have been already included. It is about the authority of the blog owner. Paid theme enhances the authority of blogs, since visitors think that the blogger have invested in the blog.
Reason #5: Design
It is another good side of paid theme. If it comes to WordPress we rarely see superb design available for free. If a free beautiful themes appears on net, A lot of people start using that theme and ultimately the theme looses its uniqueness. Whereas people like to see unique design if they visit a blog.
This is why I prefer to switch to a Paid WordPress theme.
Here are some awesome free themes:
- Genesis Framework and Child Themes [Most Preferred WP Theme]
- Diytheme’s Thesis Theme [Powerful Theme]
- Headway Theme
- Elegant Theme
- Templatic Theme
