According to the latest update published on Canonical blog announced that Ubuntu 12.04 and further LTS versions will have 5 year extended support. The current Ubuntu LTS came with 3 years support.
It could be good news for Ubuntu lover. This extended support will provide stability to computer manufacturers and is beneficial to all of us. The free culture will rival propitiatory OS.
Ubuntu LTS is now more reliable and not only us but Government departments are also leaning towards Open source OS. Recently, Supreme court of India directed its officials to install Ubuntu 10.04 LTS to the courts.
