It could be most funny if you apply for Adsense or working with your Adsense on your site. During some funny test you get banned. You could lose your Adsense account and some good earning too.
Their is a tool available for Adsense preview (Google has removed Adsense preview tool). But most people recommend to use an image instead of using the tool are testing live Adsense to your blog or website.
How to test Adsense without getting banned!
For some time just forget Adsense ad codes. We will work with the sample images provided by Adsense. Alternatively Choosing an affiliate code is a good idea for testing. Here i will use Dreamhost affiliate codes for demonstration and at last i will include some html code for the image if you do not affiliated to anyone.
When you have designed or ready to add some ad to your template. you may use a text widget for that.
<img border="0" src="http://www.netrival.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/dh125x1251.jpg" alt="Signup for dreamhost webhosting">
In the above code you may alter:
- the target url (href=” … “) with any targeted link.
- the image (src=” … “) with any size of image, according to your theme design. you may also use Adsense sample images provided at the above link.
Now add the code to your theme using a text widget. Use various size of ads for the test (Text ads, Image Ads Sample in various size is available at Adsense help center. Right Click the image and copy image URL)
Choose the best size of ads. Don’t worry about the theme or color palette of your ads. Also ignore corners. It can be tasted with live ads.
Now time to add Adsense code:
After getting satisfied with your Ad size and placement. Replace the ad codes with actual Adsense code. [After adding Adsense NEVER click ads].
If you have installed Adsense ad code to your blog, you may control the color palette, Font size and every thing (except ad size) from your Adsense dashboard.
After making a change in Adsense. It may take up to 10 minute to appear on site. If the change do not appear in time then try to delete cache and refresh the page.
If you want to change the size of Adsense ads, you will need to create another Adsense ad unit of that size then replace with existing one.
