EntroPay.com is a Virtual Credit Card provider. It is a UK based site and operated by Ixaris Systems Ltd. EntroPay may be good option for those who can’t afford or get a Credit Card. It is very easy to use, and most suited to students, non-credit card holders.
Why EntroPay:
As I said earlier, EntroPay provides Virtual Credit Card (VCC) which can be used for any online shopping, where Visa cards are accepted. You can generate it by using any visa or master card or bank transfers. It can be reloaded and reused. You can also load your EntroPay VCC using your existing Debit Cards. Entropay is Verified By Visa (VBV) and Mastercard Secure code (MSC) enabled, so even if you are Indian, It may be best option for you if you are student or do not have any credit card (CC). According to RBI VBV and MSC is compulsory for all online payment using debit card. In such case, it is the only way to pay online, as far as I know.
How much it will cost:
Oops! it may be quite costlier than you expected. It will burn 4.95% of your wallet on each load. It means if you load your VCC by $100. they will charge $4.95 extra. Additionally you will be charged 2.75% if their is currency conversion (For billing only, not for card loading). It’s costly, but if you don’t have a CC and want to pay online than their is no option other than this. I have enclosed the full details of their charges here. Please visit their site for any update.
How secure is it:
As per e-commerce security, the site is secured by 128 bit encryption and it is certified by verisign (class 3), so it is OK. I also did not found any real post or news against it.
I used it for my payment to MaxCDN which was smooth and so I can confirm, it is secure.
Who should Avoid:
If you don’t have a CC or do not wish to use your card for online payments, You can opt it but if you have an account in HDFC Bank or Kotak Mahindra Bank you should use their virtual Credit Card instead of using it, these banks provide the same feature for free. Their charges are really high, so I will recommend to use it only when their is no other option left to make online payment.

Wow!
This is a ‘superior grade’ article covering almost all the aspects of EntroPay VCC.
Very exhaustive and thoroughly explained.
In addition to the VCC registration processes the additional info about the various rates and charges makes the write-up complete.
I don’t have to go to the search engines to find the information about the rates.
Thanks for posting it.
And, keep going.
You have an analytic mind and your presentation is systematic.

Instead of using this service, we can use the HDFC NetSafe service. It allows you to generate VCC using your Debit card, and it’s free too.
BTW, Thanks for sharing Entropay service !
