After a few months of charging Rs. 30/month for the MCA services, BSNL finally reduced the Missed Call Alert Charges to a reasonable price. Missed Call Alert service is one of the essential specially when you roam or leave in low coverage areas. This service is also useful for many people how do not get mobile networks in lifts, basement or even your home (yes, for a few but true.)
What is now changed?
Starting from 1st July, 2014 BSNL decided to charge MCA service Rs. 30 per month (or Re. 1 per day). This was free earlier. BSNL customers and many other bloggers started criticizing this step. As we all know BSNL has high coverage are compared to many private operators but still the signal strength is not that much high. As a result customers frequently “get out of reach”. So, the service was very useful for those.
But, BSNL has now realised the issue and decided to lower the MCA charges by half. From now (14 August, 2014) and onward users will have pay Rs. 15/month (50 paise per day) for missed call alert service. This is a new regular tariff, not a promo offer like they did frequently.
