Google has recently launched its new social networking service which is known as Google+. There are a lot of things happening with other Google products also, like Google has changed the name of Picasa and will change Blogger to Google Blogs.
While people were busy in getting Google+ invitation and bloggers were busy in giving away the invitations, Probably one thing we have missed during the rush. The silent increase of free storage capacity condition, which has been increased from 800px images to 2048px (longest edge) images to all Google+ users.
It can be varified from their support site. Visit their Free storage limitations and get relaxed. However if you do not have or want Google+, you will not get this additional benefit. I have already said that the previous free storage limits are not enough for most of us and would benefit only a few users.
Google has also made some changes on storage condition, which is also great. If you reach the maximum quota of your storage either free or paid and you want to upload more images. you may upload images. Your images will be saved in reduced size (2048px) size and you will not get any upload failure error.
The pictures uploaded using Google plus, the picture will be automatically resized to 2048px (longest edge) and would not be counted towards your storage. So, If possible upload resized images to Google+ to save some bucks on your Internet bill.
The free storage for rest of media will be still 1024MB and other things are still same.
