BSNL has recently revised their Data Plans ( All these BSNL net plans works on both Mobile and Data card users) and launched unified 2G and 3G data plans. These Data Packs are not only available across the India but also a lot cheaper for 3G users. However, The 2G customers are now paying more for data plan.
The following prepaid data plans has been revised again and applicable from 23 October 2015.
Some plans are likely to be more costlier from Feb 23rd. BSNL will reduce the validity of many regular data plans. If you want to recharge with any data plan less than STV 176, recharge it today. AND STV 561 or more will have 30 days more validity. e.g. STV 561 will have 60 days validity instead on existing 30 days.
These GPRS Packs are have less option to choose and also replaced almost all old 2G and 3G data plans. Following Private operators BSNL had reduced the cost of 1GB unified internet pack to Rs. 139. The validity of this pack is 30 days. Earlier, the price of same data on 3G was costing Rs. 151 and the the Rs. 98 data pack for 2G provided 1250 MB.

After the using the free amount the charge will become 2 Paisa/10KB for Prepaid users and 1 Paisa/10KB for Postpaid users. The charge for BSNL stream will remain same 25 Paisa/MB for both Prepaid and Postpaid users.
The above unified 2G and 3G data plans are available from August 15, 2013. Also note the MRP of the Prepaid GPRS plan will vary by Rs. ±2 from circle to circle for *technical* reasons.

All the BSNL internet packs are available for Mobile users and Data Card users, unless it is specified in the plan details. There are some data card specific plans which works with data card FRCs.
BSNL allow true free data roaming across the country, even in Delhi and Mumbai. However, BSNL is looking for true free national roaming on both voice and data plans. But presently both of them provide free data roaming across India.
BSNL provide online recharges for instant activation for their net plans. The only thing you need is to have a debit card. Using any debit card, credit card or internet banking you can securely recharge your BSNL Mobile.
