Get revised Reliance 2G GPRS pack for all circle

I am a Patna based blogger. My friend named Saurabh Singh suggested me to try Reliance Smart’s (RTL: Reliance Telecom Limited) GPRS connection. I did so and found Reliance is also offering to access its 3G network from 2G customers(including 2G plans). The Speed is good enough to surf the web. I found it about 2.4 Mbps from my Huawei e1550 3G modem. I have attached SpeedTest.net result:

The ping time was also good as compared to BSNL.

There are three GPRS plans available to Reliance Smart customers. I think the same plan is available to Reliance GSM also.

  1. Rs. 99.00 for 3GB (validity 1 Month)(Only E-recharge option is available for prepaid subscribers)
  2. Rs. 51.00 for 1GB (Validity 15 days)
  3. Rs. 5.00 for 50MB (Validity 1Day)

Currently there is no unlimited plan, but i think the above plans are better option for now. Reliance is the third telecom operators who have launched 3G services and Airtel 3G will the 4th operator. The most interesting change was made by BSNL some days ago by introducing 6 GB plan at Rs 270. Who will go for it if the same amount of data usages available in Reliance at Rs 198 (2×99).

If you are interested in GPRS plans of Reliance Smart. You may activate these plan by sending SMS to 55333 (toll-free) except 3GB plan(for pre-paid). 3GB plan is available only through E-Recharge.

How to activate Reliance Smart GPRS:

Add prefix M to the value of plan and send it to 55333 from your Reliance GSM or Smart mobile to activate.

e.g. M51 and send it to 55333

This method is available for both prepaid and post paid customer.

How to check GPRS Usages and Validity:

If you want to know remaining data usage send “Mbal” to 55333. But it is not working for me and i have registered a complaint in this regard, you may be lucky one!

Alternatively, You may also check your remaining Free usage and Validity by dialling USSD *367*3#.
