Public Sector telecom operator BSNL has announced a special plan for students, which will be  available  from 25-October-2011 onward. The plan has some special features like free GPRS, low call rates and cheap SMS. It could be all in one plan. The only limitation (BIG), The tariffs and  benefits  including  freebie  will be valid till initial validity according to the plan.

The feature of the two Student Special plans are as follows:

PLAN 1: RCV Rs. 150

  • MRP  including  Service Tax: Rs. 150
  • Validity: 180 Days
  • Free Talk Value: Rs. 20
  • Free SMS: 1500 Local
  • Free GPRS: 500 MB (2G/3G)

PLAN 2: RCV Rs. 250

  • MRP  including  Service Tax:  Rs. 250
  • Validity: 365 Days
  • Free Talk Value:  Rs. 40
  • Free SMS: 3000 Local
  • Free GPRS: 1000 MB (2G/3G)

Note: The above prices will vary circle to circle by ± Rs.3 due to technical reason. So, Please ask your retailer for the exact price.

This plan is available on PAN India basis. (Means, available in all circles)

Beyond Free usages:

  • SMS charge will be 5p/sms for local sms.
  • GPRS will be charged at 4p/10KB  including in roaming.

Call Charges:

For the all above plans local ON-NET charge will be 40paisa/minute whereas Off-net charge will be 60 paisa/minute. BSNL will allow to add upto five friends and family numbers to avail low call rates. For such numbers call rates will be 10p/minutes and 30p/minutes for On-net and Off-net numbers respectively.

Remember all tariff will be valid for 180days or 365days only.
