BSNL to revise Prepaid Plan from March 1st, 2012

Summary: BSNL is likely to revise prepaid plans. Now it will be more cheaper and will offer free SMS. They will have no more Black-out days. This is really surprising when we are expecting for call rates up!

BSNL From 1 March 2012, BSNL is likely to revise prepaid plan and benefit of the two popular plan named “National Voucher” and “Local Voucher”. Additionally, BSNL may withdraw BLACK-OUT Days (for BSNL it is Diwali, Christmas, 31st December (New year eve), 1st January and Holi) from 1st March. Currently a telecom operator can have maximum 5 blackout days in a year. The prices will be likely to be as follows:

More to come:

Pay Per Minute and Pay Per Second:

Not only this but BSNL will also revise the Pay per Minute and Pay Per Second plan. The Pay per Minute plan will be unified to 49p/minute and the Pay Per second is likely to be 1p/sec instead of 1.2p/second (on off net and STD)

Top Up voucher:

Now all top up vouchers of Rs. 100 will provide at least full talk time. e.g. If you recharge with Rs. 100 then you will get Rs. 100 as talk-time. Since their is no promotional balance so the whole amount will be valid for ever. However, they do not disclosed what will happen with Rs. 500 and above top ups and we may expect that we will get more on that. But wait till March.

Where due to cancellation of recent telecom licenses we are expecting for rise in prepaid plans, BSNL really surprised most of us. What do you think about this news? Please share your opinion by leaving a comment below.
